Normal wear and use to a vehicle is to be expected. We can all relate to the occasional shopping cart ding, scratch or scuff. However, damages exceeding normal wear and use and mileage in excess of that specified on your lease agreement may be chargeable to you upon lease-end.* 


To help avoid any surprises and charges we welcome you to schedule a lease end pre-inspection so that we can go over the vehicle with you. Please review our general Wear and Use Guidelines below for examples of what is considered excessive. The examples provided are for your convenience and may not include all instances of excessive damage that may subject you to additional charges.**


Toyota now offers Excess Wear and Use Lease Protection Coverage for under $24 per month to protect you from the examples below. Please inquire at the time of your next lease to protect yourself from any future lease end financial surprises.***


Interior

Here are some examples of excessive wear and use on the interiors of vehicles.

Seat Interior and Trim 1-2
  • A single cut, tear, stain or burn larger than the size of a credit card would be considered excessive.

Parts, Accessories and Equipment 3-4
  • Missing keys and key less remotes
  • Missing parts or accessories (headrests, cargo covers, shifter knob, floor mats etc.)
  • Inoperative or broken parts or equipment
  • Any modifications not on the vehicle at the start of the lease
Exterior

  • Windshield cracks, spiders webs or bull's-eyes
  • Damaged, broken or non-factory tinted glass
  • Bent, broken or missing lights, turn signals, mirrors or lamps
Tires, Wheels and Wheel Covers 11-12
  • Tires with exposed cords or sidewall damage
  • Tires or wheels that do not meet manufacturer's guidelines for safe operation
  • Missing or damaged wheel covers
  • Wheel gouged larger than 1"
