Toyota recently announced the debut of the 2023 Toyota Sequoia, redesigned with lots of performance and style. The all-new Sequoia remains one of the largest full-size SUVs from Toyota, complete with seating for up to eight passengers. The latest Sequoia shares its design with the updated 2022 Toyota Tundra and even offers hybrid performance like this full-size truck. Let us tell you more about the advantages of the 2023 Toyota Sequoia so you can decide if you want to pre-order one for yourself. You will find the 2022 Sequoia here at Toyota of Batavia, proudly serving the Medina and Albion, NY areas.

Power and Efficiency to Spare

At the heart of the 2023 Toyota Sequoia is an i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain that already comes available 2022 Tundra truck. This hybrid performance replaces the previous 381-horsepower i-FORCE engine of the 2022 Sequoia. The 2023 Sequoia's powertrain generates up to 437-horsepower and a whopping 583 pound-feet of torque. With the addition of an electric motor, the Sequoia can offer more fuel economy than the average full-size SUV, with a maximum towing capacity of 9,000 lbs.

Much like the Tundra and Tacoma trucks, the 2023 Sequoia will come available with TRD Pro upgrades, giving this SUV more off-road capability than before. The available Sequoia TRD Pro will come standard with a 1/4-inch aluminum front skid plate, FOX internal bypass shocks, Multi-Terrain Select, and Crawl Control, all of which allow you to traverse rockier terrains with safety and ease.

A Well-Equipped SUV

Another great thing about the 2023 Sequoia will be its many standard features. Last year's 2022 Sequoia came standard with conveniences like LED fog lights, three-zone climate control, Toyota Safety Sense-P features, and the Smart Key System with Push Button Start. The 2023 Sequoia ups the ante with more high-tech conveniences than you might find on your average full-sized SUV, including heated front seats, a power moonroof, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) supplementing the standard rearview camera.

The latest Toyota Safety Sense suite offered on the 2023 Sequoia is the TSS 2.5 suite, which updates many of the same features of the TSS-P suite and includes all the standard apps from the previous TSS-2.0 suite as well. Standard TSS-2.5 applications include:

  • Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection
  • Automatic High Beams
  • Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
  • Lane Tracing Assist
  • Road Sign Assist

New Multimedia Options for Easy Listening

The 2023 Sequoia provides some of Toyota's newest multimedia and audio technologies, previously introduced on the 2022 Tundra. The available 14-inch Audio Multimedia system has integrated voice controls and a digital personal assistant to help you switch between applications without diverting your attention from the road. The digital assistant can help you find points of interest, switch climate settings, and adjust audio controls, all using natural language processing. The available Drive Connect feature gives you over-the-air map updates through Google POI data.

Whereas the 2022 Sequoia supported Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the 2023 Sequoia will support these apps as well as Amazon Alexa and Google devices.
